The world is riding on the Neom line! In an effort to revolutionize the world's transportation methods, Saudi Arabia is developing the Neom Line, a line of hoverboarding devices. The line spans a total of 9,560 meters with no plans of extension. The unique project has been ongoing for over two years and is positively changing the face of public transportation. The first legislation of the Neom Line was implemented in October of 2017. This year, the project was on the table at the Future Investment Initiative, and to this date, many are aware of the rapid development of the line on a weekly basis. The Neom Line will allow for quick transport between both the residential and office areas in the city. Today's mode of underground or elevated transport is to be replaced with some of the best urban and green landscapes imagined with a seamless transition. The escape from petroleum will be global and the Neom Line will be no exception. Energy for the line will be sourced using solar panels to provide an estimated 300 megawatts. This equates to roughly 20 kW per vehicle and an annual production of 500 kWh. Because of the alternative energy source, Saudi Arabia predicts that over 7 million tons of CO2 will be saved per year.
